Permelia (Milly) Dennison, wife of John Henry Isbell. Some family trees say she died "about 1924." Patti Lawson's family tree shows that she and John H Isbell divorced before 1880 and notes: "1880 census shows John and Milly in seperate households, both listed as divorced." Some family trees seem to confuse her with her niece, Zachariah Dennison's widow Permelia "Milly" (Dennison) Dennison, who died in 1927 and whose obituary said she was 102 years old (FindaGrave 185780491) The Dennison and Isbell families intermarried numerous times. One Zachariah Dennison "Jr." who married Margaret Isbell died or divorced in 1868-69 (many family trees say he died in Texas, Missouri in 1869). The death certificate of Permilia Dennison Dennison gives her marital status "Widow," maiden name Dennison and her parents' names Dennison. The informant was W.H. Dennison, William Henry Dennison (1863-1929). (Find A Grave Memorial# 185783543.) Permelia's parents' names are recorded as Ned and Polly Cannon Dennison, although Ned was her older brother Edward who married Polly Cannon. Ned and Polly's daughter Rebecca also married her cousin John Henry Isbell Jr. Horse Cave, where the doctor lived and practiced and where the patient died, is 10 miles from Park City.
