Roxie Emma Bell was born 18 Sep 1900 in Missouri to parents James Wesley Bell (1871-1955) and Mary Florence Lowe (1882-1909), both born in Missouri. Roxie's known brothers and sisters: Dovie (1897-1918) James Henry (1902-1966) Reta (1906-) Rosco Dwight (1907-1980) On December 17, 1917, in Adair County, Missouri, Roxie married Charles Dewey Scobee (1899-1979.) Charles was born in Missouri and was a son of Samuel Robert Scobee (1855-1928) and Eva Margaret Turnmire (1969-1933), both born in Missouri. Roxie and Charles settled in Missouri where Charles worked as a farmer and also a coal miner. They had a large family and both are buried in Elmira Cemetery. Several of their children are also buried there.
