Bio

Mrs. William Flannery, 83, 1621 Summit St., died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a five-week illness. Mrs. Flannery, the former Annie Kovarna, was born July 26, 1882, in Plymouth County. She had lived in Sioux City the last 50 years. Her husband, William Flannery, died July 2, 1955 in Sioux City. Survivors include two sons, Arthur W. and Thomas J., both of Hinton, Iowa; five brothers, James and George Kovarna, both of Merrill, Iowa, Adolph, John, and Harry Kovarna, all of Hinton, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. John Hartman of Sioux City and five grandchildren. The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home. The Sioux City Journal, March 8, 1966 —————— Funeral services for Mrs William Flannery, 83, 1621 Summit St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion W. Bloodworth of the Hinton, Iowa. Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald, Richard and Lester Kovarna, Darvin Hartman, Clarence Kasch, and Clifford Lindlief. Mrs. Flannery died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a five-week illness.
