Bio

Vesta was born in Proffitt to B.F.and Della C. [Harper] Johnson. She was a graduate of Newcastle High School. She married James Baker on Aug. 22, 1947, in Olney. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1979. She married Roger Porter on March 17, 1985. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1999. She was a sales clerk for the Olney Drug Store for many years, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the church choir.
