In Memoriam ALENE PULTE MATHEWS February 20, 1923 ~ June 28, 2019 Alene Mathews age 96, of Idabel, Oklahoma went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 28, 2019. Alene was born on February 20, 1923 the daughter of William and Gladys Pulte. Alene enjoyed quilting, coloring, gardening, crocheting and loved to cook, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and listening to them sing, Alene was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Mathews; parents William and Gladys Pulte; Children, Rex Mathews, Linda Walker, Oleta Boaldin, Polly Wright; Brother, Billy Pulte; sisters, Leatrice Mills and Doris Whisenhunt. Alene leaves to forever cherish her memory her children, Paul Mathews and wife Rosie of Gladewater, Texas, Tom Mathews and wife Colleen of White Oak Texas, Melva McCutcheon of Idabel, Oklahoma, Gena Barnett and husband Craig of Longview, Texas, Anne Smith of Meridian, Mississippi, Joan Ferguson of Idabel, Oklahoma; Brother, Donald Pulte of Idabel, Oklahoma; sister Donna Dollarhide of Idabel, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Brittany Ferguson of Idabel, Oklahoma, Corey Mathews of Big Sandy, Texas, James Parks of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. The family extends a special thank you to Hills Nursing Home staff and Neighborhood Hospice for special care given to Alene.
