LINDA MATHEWS WALKER February 22, 1951 ~ October 27, 1987 Services for Linda Mathews Walker of Texarkana, Texas, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Idabel Nation Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Hurst officiating. Burial will be in the Redland Cemetery under the direction of Nation Funeral Home of Idabel. Mrs. Walker, 36, died at Wadley Regional Medical Center Tuesday after having a heart attack at her home. She was self-employed and attended the Landmark Pentecostal Church in Texarkana. Born Feb. 22, 1951 in Redland, she had lived in the Redland community until 5 years ago when she moved to Texas. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Walker, whom she married May 17, 1968 at Redland. Other survivors include her parents, Jim and Aline Mathews of Redland; her grandmother, Gladys Pulte of Redland; three brothers, Rex Mathews of Haworth, Paul Mathews of Longview, Texas and Thomas Mathews of Hallsville, Texas; six sisters, Melva McCutcheon and Polly Wright of Idabel, Joan Ferguson of Pollard, Oleta Boaldin of Altus, Ann Endicott of Tonkawa and Gina Barnett of Longview, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
