SULLIVAN NEWSPAPER SEPT 1938 AGED SULLIVAN RESIDENT DIED MONDAY Mrs. Martha Bragg aged Sullivan resident died Monday at the home of her son, John Bragg in this city. Funeral services were held at 2:30 oclock,Wednesday afternoon at Oak Grove. In charge of the funeral, Rev.W.B. Hopper. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were John,Dale, Stanley, Acel, Bragg, Grover and Leonard Husdon. Martha Ann Monroe was born Dec.14,1851, a daughter of Christopher and Nancy Seright Monroe. She was united in marriage with Louis Bragg in 1867. Her husband preceded her in death thirty eight years ago. She is survived by two sons, John and Ed Bragg of Sullivan, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one brother, George Monroe of Sullivan, one sister, Mrs. Janie Smith of Decatur. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Sullivan.
