Bio

Reese Pulham Glen Reese Pulham, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by his family Sunday, October 25, 2009 incident to age. Reese was born in Payson, Utah, April 25, 1925, to Archibald and Essie Magdelene (Terry) Pulham. When Reese was three years old the family moved to Glendale, California. In 1942 the family bought a fruit farm in Orem and moved back to Utah. He served his country during WW II in the Pacific Theatre Campaign, serving in the Navy. Reese married Marylyn Phyllis Newbill (from Lincoln, Nebraska) June 11, 1952 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their life together was blessed with five daughters and one son who were taught to love the Lord and to love and value family above all. Reese served faithfully as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to many positions, his fondest being bishop of the BYU 70th Ward. He retired as Superintendent of Postal Operations from the Orem City Post Office on 1980. His loving influence was felt by many and he will be sorely missed. The family would like to express our special thanks to Reese's "VILLAGE" from Alpine Home Health Care Tara, Jonathan, Kirk, Dirk and Dana for your love and the outstanding care you provided. He loved you all very much! We would also like to thank the priests from the Canyon View 4th and 7th wards for your unselfish service in his final years. Reese is survived by his wife, Marylyn, of 57 years: six children, Jerrie Lyn (Jim) Raehl, Debra (Jeff) Jensen, Sheila Pulham, Lesa Pulham, Tresa (Michael) Nicholas, Scott R. (Sandy) Pulham, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers: A. Richard Pulham, Kenneth Pulham, and Charles Pulham; his sisters, Faye Lunceford, Betty Issacson, and Evelyn Frandsen, and his parents. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, located at 495 South State Street in Orem. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:30 am at the Canyon View LDS chapel on 800 East and 1200 North in Orem with an additional viewing one hour prior.
