Bio

Kenneth Terry Pulham 1921 - 2007 VETERAN ❦ Early Life: Kenneth was born March 17, 1921, in McKinnon Wyoming, to Archibald "Arch" and Essie Magdalene Terry Pulham. His early years were spent in Wyoming, but soon the family moved, first to Salt Lake City and then to Payson, Utah. At the age of seven, the family then moved to Glendale, California. It was there that he went through the public school system, and later graduated from Glendale High School in February of 1940. He has always been a hard worker and spent his early years helping out the family during the great depression, by selling newspapers on the corner, working at the local grocers and later managing many local Glendale movie theaters. ❦ Life's Work | Service | Interests: During the war years, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, where he was a radio operator on a B-24 heavy bomber, flying many dangerous missions over Germany and Italy. While Kenneth was serving our country, his family purchased a fruit farm in Orem, Utah, and moved from California. In December 1946, Kenneth was hired by Geneva Steel and worked there until his retirement in 1984. Kenneth met his future wife, Dona Hafen, in the fall of 1945 while he was on leave. Then in January 1947, they started dating. In April, they were engaged and on June 27, 1947, they were married in the Manti Utah Temple. They are the parents of six wonderful and supportive children. He enjoyed being with his family on camping trips and family vacations. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he held many leadership positions in his ward and stake. He served a family history mission with his wife to Sydney, Australia, from 1992 to 1994. Kenneth will long be remembered for his ability to fix most anything, and always offering a helping hand to those in need. On a beautiful spring morning, April 14, 2007, dear companion, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Kenneth Terry Pulham, passed from this life to the next.
