Bio
Services for Elizabeth Maly, 85, West Point, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. The Rev. Gary Ostrander will officiate with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery at St. Charles. Visitation will be held at the Ben Stalp Funeral Home until 8:30 am to noon Sunday. Visitation will continue Sunday afternoon at the church, with rosaries at 1:30 pm and 7 pm. She died Friday, April 19, 1996, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. She was born Sept. 15, 1910, at West Point to Bernard and Agnes (Kube) Ortmeier. She attended school at West Point. Mrs. Maly was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America, the guild and hospital auxiliary. She married William Maly, Jan 14, 1931, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. They farmed near West Point, retiring and moving to town in 1969. He died May 11,1969. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. William (Rita) Goeden of West Point, Zita Maly of Omaha, Mrs. Don (Elise) Bartek of Colorado, Springs, CO, Mrs. Allen (Agnes) Evert, both of Las Vegas,NV; sons and wives, Eugene and Jenny of Lincoln, Vince and Elaine and Pat and Donna, all of WestPoint; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Grewe of Lexington and Martha Kaup of West Point. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
