Bio

HILLJE - Joseph Cyril Koudela of Hillje died March 22, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born February 20, 1932 in El Campo to the late Joseph & Julia Reck Koudela. He was a US Army Veteran and a lifelong farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark Koudela, brothers Raymond and Jerome Koudela, sisters Lorena Taylor, and Edith Labay. Visitation will begin 5 pm Sunday at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 6 pm. The Funeral Mass will be 11 am Monday, March 25, 2019, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Hillje with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251. Triska Funeral Home 979-543-3681.
