Bio

Lester Alexander, 98, Somerset, died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset. He was born in the Ruth community on April 13, 1905, son of the late Leander and Martha Wright Alexander. He was a retired grocery store owner, and a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Carl Alexander, Cincinnati and William Kenneth (and Marilyn) Alexander, Norwood, Ohio; three daughters, Emogene (and Leemon) Jones, Norwood, Ohio,, Geraldine Ervin , Deerpark, Ohio, and Barbara (and Bob) Klepper, Somerset; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Smiley Alexander; his parents; and a daughter, Christine Pfeiffer Alexander. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Branscum officiating. Burial will be in Clay Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
