GILTNER — Kenneth D. Ballard, 54, of Giltner died Feb. 16, 2019, at CHI Health - Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy in Omaha. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Giltner United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Inurnment will be in the Giltner Cemetery at a later date. Kenneth was born March 3, 1964, in Grand Island to Donald and Loretta (Juett) Ballard. He grew up in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School. Kenneth entered the U.S. Army in 1982 and he was honorably discharged in 1986. Kenneth was united in marriage to Sandra (Skeen) Ballard on Oct. 8, 2005, in Grand Island. The family then made their home in Giltner where Kenneth was employed by Stettner, Inc., out of Hampton. One of Kenneth's greatest joys was being able to spend time with his grandchildren and special niece and nephew Kaley and Ethan Ballard. Kenneth is survived by his spouse, Sandra; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Michael Parker and Kenya and Josh Sanderson; grandchildren, Hayden Parker, Lily Parker, Ava Parker and Spencer Skeen; a brother, Tom Ballard; a sister, Barb Ballard; and many nephews and nieces. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Theresa Ray; and a brother, Rodney Ballard. Contributor: (49757219)
