Bio
Bessie Faiman Funeral services were held Monday, February 10, 1992, for Bessie Faiman from Faith United Methodist Church in Olivia. Burial followed in the Olivia Cemetery. Bessie Faiman was born February 27, 1903, to Thomas and Mary (Benedict) Hosek in rural Olivia. She attended rural Olivia schools and worked at local cafes before marrying Joseph Faiman November 28, 1923. They farmed south of Olivia until 1956, when she moved into Olivia following her husband's death. Her death occurred Friday, February 7, 1992, at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia, at the age of 88. Bessie is survived by two sons: Jerry of Olivia and Henry of Granite Falls; one daughter, Margie (Mrs. Kenneth) Kottom, of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Clara Helmer, of Olivia. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marion Murphy; seven brothers; and four sisters. --Renville County Star Farmer February 12, 1992
