Joseph Cyril Kocurek was born at 11am in the morning on June 26, 1912 to Frank Joseph Kocurek and Agnes Sassin in the front room of their home at 2804 FM 1383, in Dubina Texas. He was baptized on June 29, 1912 by Rev. Joseph Szymanski at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Dubina. His godparents were John Holub and Aloisie (Sassin) Holub.
