From The Wolbach Messenger, Thursday, February 2, 1961, page 14, transcribed by Linda Berney: Peter Trautmann Rites at Sutton - Mr. Peter Trautmann [sic], 93, died Thursday morning in the hospital at Henderson where he had been a patient for seven weeks. Funeral services were held Sunday at Sutton with burial there. Mr. Trautmann had made his home here part of the time with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Klein.... He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred Klein and Mrs. Pete Trautmann of Yuma, Colorado; three sons, Richard Trautmann of Harvard, Albert and P.W. Trautmann, both of California; 13 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren ========================================================================= The Edgar Sun (Edgar NE) Thu - Feb 2, 1961 - Page 5 Obituary, Trautman== Peter P. Trautman. son of Peter, Sr. and Christine Trautman, was born in Worms, South Russia, on Nov 5, 1867 and came to America settling in Sutton in September of 1874. For the past seven weeks he had been (sic) in the (sic) passed away on Jan 26, having reached the age of 93 years, 2 months and 21 days. On May 10, 1892 he was united n marriage to Johanna Kline, making their home on a farm east of Harvard until November of 1920 when they retired moving to Sutton. The deceased was confirmed in Emmanuel Reformed Church in 1882 of which he was a faithful member, serving for many years on the consistory. On May 10, 1942, Mr. and Mrs. Trautman celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. To this union were born seven children, three sons and four daughters, twin daughters passing away in infancy. Others preceeding (sic) him in death were his wife, Johanna in December of 1950, his parents and five sisters and three brothers. He leaves to mourn his departure five children, Katie Kline of Wolbach; Richard of Harvard; Louise of Yuma, Colo.; Albert of Modesto, Cliff.; and Peter W of Redwood City, Calif. One brother, Henry of Sutton. There are also 13 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Rev. George Bartell was in charge of funeral services held at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Sutton Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Rose Fehr, soloist, sang "Rock of Ages" and "Going Down the Valley," with Mrs. Helen Maser accompanying at the organ. Interment was in Sutton cemetery (sic) with the following serving as bearers: Wilbert and Arnold Klein, Morris Kauk, Donald Nelson, Otto and Donald Trautman. .
