Bio
On Nov 8, 2018, Christy (Gehardt) Gray received her wings and made her return trip to heaven. Christy was born Nov 11, 1971, in Bonham, Texas to Ben and Jane (Ballard) Gehardt of Dodd City, Texas. Christy was the youngest of three girls and attended all of her K 12 years at the Dodd City schools where she graduated in 1990. On Oct. 31, 2013, she married Paul Gray Jr. of Bonham. Their wedding was at the Bonham VFW Post 4852 with a Halloween theme. They continued to live in Bonham until Aug. 2017 when they moved to Muldrow, OK. This was the first time Christy had ever lived outside of Fannin Co. Christy is survived by her husband, Paul, two sisters: Wanda Cecil of Bonham, and Brenda (David) Holman of Honey Grove, father-in-law Paul Gray Sr., three brothers-in-law: David, Justin, and Bryan, two sisters-in-law: Paula, and Chrysty. Surviving niece's and nephews are Mandi Hunter, Jason Stanley, D. J. Pool, Michael Holman, Heather Pool, Zachary Cecil. She is also survived by the nieces and nephews of her husband: Bryttnee, Ryan and Dustin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal grandparents Lee Ballard & Stella (Luttrell) Ballard of Ardmore, OK., paternal grandparents Max Gehardt of Crowell, TX., and Ruby (Eden) McCoy of Amarillo, TX., as well as her mother-in-law Vicky Furrh of Bonham. Services will be handled by the family at a later date with interment to be at the Dodd City Cemetery in Dodd City, Texas.
