Bio
James was the son of Grover Cleveland Skidmore and Blanche Phelps Skidmore. He married first Hazel Marie Sanders in 1959 at Frederick, Oklahoma. He married second Wanda Dake April 11, 1992 in Archer City, Texas. James was a veteran of the United States Army and was owner operator of Skidmore's Graham Auto Rebuilders. Survivors include: wife, Wanda Skidmore of Newcastle; daughter, Karen Holloway and husband, Robert of Dallas; sons, Jimmy Skidmore and wife, Valerie of Graham, Roger Skidmore and wife, Susan of Graham, Doug Pinkston and wife, Penny of Graham and Tommy Pinkston of Graham; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Lou Myers, Eva Jo Ratliffe, Robbie Nell Skidmore and Margie Wells and brother, Charles Phelps Skidmore. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at 3:00 p.m. in Bellevue Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
