Martha Ann's parents were: Elizabeth Ann(Williams) and Newton Carroll Collins. She married Joseph K. Garrett on 23 May 1881 in Blanco Co. Texas. They had ten children together. She also raised Christian Kelly Garrett, Joseph's son by the first marriage.
