Fort Bend Herald, September 18, 2018: Leatha Pearl Zwahr was born on August 31, 1921 to Edward and Daisy Bennett and passed away on September 15, 2018 in Richmond. She was raised in Browns Community but spent most of her adult life in Rosenberg. She was a business woman owning and managing Hi-Style Beauty Salon while also raising cattle and farming rice throughout the years. She loved family and friends and over the years welcomed many into her home. She was married to Louis Fred Zwahr until his death in 1970 and together they had four children: Don Zwahr (wife Charlotte), Patsy Peebles, Linda Nicodemus and Sandra McKinney (husband Bobby McKinney). They had 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. After Louis’ death, she was married and later divorced from Daniel Dixon. From this marriage she welcomed two step-daughters: Bobbie Dixon and Gale Dixon along with two additional grandsons. She has one living sister, Laverne Hassell and was predeceased by her parents and three brothers: Earl Bennett, Milton Bennett and Red Bennett.
