Herald Coaster, May 6, 1970: Funeral services for Louis Fred Zwahr, 50, of 1619 Brooks St., Rosenberg, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Garmany & Co. Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. Mr. Zwahr died Friday in Methodist Hospital in Houston after a short illness. A native of Needville, he was a lifelong resident of Fort Bend County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leatha Pearl Zwahr of Rosenberg; daughters, Mrs. Patsy Lehmann, Mrs. Linda Nicodemus, and Miss Sandra Zwahr, all of Rosenberg; a son, Don Zwahr of Rosharon; mother, Mrs. Martha Janda of Fairchilds; brother, Melvin Zwahr of Rosharon; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were L.H. Bennett, C.E. Zwahr, Victor Poncik, Snider Carlton, Johnnie Hruzek, and Eddie Vacek. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.
