MONTICELLO — A memorial service for Carol M. Sickler, 54, Monticello, will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home. She died at 6:28 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, in Monticello Assisted Living & Healthcare Center. Born Friday, March 13, 1953, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Floyd C. and Norma Jean Welte Sickler. Carol was a supervisor at the old Landis Plastic Factory in Monticello, where she worked for 20-plus years. She was a 1971 graduate of Twin lakes High School and attended Ball State University in Muncie. She had lived in Monticello all of her life. Carol was a member of Guernsey Church of the Brethren, in rural Monticello. An avid Pioneer High School football fan, she was a huge sports fan and loved all kinds of sporting events. She was a very loving aunt and treated her nieces and nephews as her own. Surviving are her parents, of Idaville; three brothers, Alan L. Sickler and his wife, Vicki L., Idaville, David L. "Hopper" Sickler and his companion, Donna Dallinger, Monticello, and John R. Sickler and his wife, Lori, Lafayette; three nieces, Julie Wise and her husband, Matt, Sara Sickler and Lindsey Sickler; three nephews, Nicholas Sickler and his wife, Brandy, Joshua Sickler and his wife, January, and Justin Sickler; a great-niece, Caroline Wise; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A niece, Melissa Jean Sickler, preceded in death. The Rev. Dana Hood of Guernsey Church of the Brethren will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Idaville Cemetery, Idaville. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Agusta Cottage of the Monticello Assisted Living & Healthcare Center.
