Bio
Geraldine J. Holubar, 94, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Ennis. Geraldine was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late John W. and Carrie (Holy) Jaresh. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School. She married Emil L. Holubar on August 30, 1942, and they made their home in Columbus, Georgia, Fort Benning, Dallas, and then settled in Ennis in 1948. Geraldine worked for Ennis Business Forms until retiring as an Executive Assistant to the President. She also worked on the family farm. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. Holubar; and a sister, Pauline Albina Zalkovsky. Survivors include her sons, Charles Holubar and his wife, Louise, and Gene Holubar; grandchildren: Brandon Holubar, Blaine Holubar, Jeffrey Holubar, Katie Holubar, Garret Holubar, Christopher Dickerson, and Justin Dickerson; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Irene Hejny and Lorraine Beere; several nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
