Funeral services for Mrs. Rusha Roxanne Reeves will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Mittie, with Reverends Kenneth Powell and Robert Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Reeves, 57, of Mittie, entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in her residence. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rusha Lynell Reeves; her son, Cephas “CJ” Schmidt and her brother, Michael Ray Reeves. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her life partner, Woody Woodall, of Orange, TX; one daughter, Rusha Sliman and her husband, Justin, of Orange, TX.; daughter-in-law, Robyn Schmidt, of Nederland, TX.; her father, Arnold Ray Reeves, of Mittie; one sister, Sharon Reeves Deslatte and her husband, Rickey, of Groves, TX.; five grandchildren, Chase, Kane, Dillion, Kylie and James; two great grandchildren, Ellery and Becklynn and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Friends may call Cherry Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
