Rusha Lynell Reeves October 02, 1938 - July 19, 2018 Funeral services for Mrs. Rusha Lynell Reeves will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Mittie, with Reverends Kenneth Powell and Robbie Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Reeves, 79, of Mittie, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in her residence with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Riley and Inez Cooley; one son, Michael Ray Reeves; two grandsons, Joseph Ray Deslatte and Cephas Nell Schmidt; one sister, Sybil Dozier and one brother, Earl Cooley. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of sixty-four years, Arnold Ray Reeves, of Mittie; two daughters, Sharon Reeves Deslatte and her husband, Rickey, of Groves, TX. and Rusha Roxanne Reeves, of Mittie; two brothers, LaVelle Cooley and his wife, Linda, of Kipling and Wade Cooley and his wife, Rita, of Sugartown; one sister, Sylvia Zerangue, of Vidor, TX.; four grandchildren, Joshua R. Deslatte, Rusha Sliman, Shelby Cole and Taylor Johnson; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at Cherry Grove Baptist Church on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
