Bio
Sarah Kirkham (1880-1881) shares a plot with Mary Kirkham (1880-1881). Both had the same father, George Kirkham, but different mothers, Sara Russon Kirkham (Sarah Kirkham) and Mary Russon Kirkham (Mary Kirkham). At this time, I can not find a source confirming the date of birth or death for either girl. On FamilySearch, Mary Kirkham's records say she was born on Aug 19, 1880 and died on Sept 7, 1881. Sarah Kirkham's record says she was born on Nov 13, 1880 and died Aug 17, 1881. Lehi City Cemetery has listed both girls together under "Mary and Sarah Kirkham" plot 27-2-5. They have only one set of birth and death dates Nov 13, 1880-Aug 17, 1881. Without any official death certificates, I can only believe what on FamilySearch is correct and that these dates refer to Sarah's lifespan. Lori Nielsen Jul 2016 ****************************** There is another source for the birth of Mary Kirkham: Her father kept a journal for most of his life. This is what he wrote on her birthday, Thursday Aug 19, 1880: I went down to brother James' and we put my bench and tool box on his wagon, and we drove to Bro. Winn's and unloaded them. I went to the store and got a file and filed my saws. I also went to Bro. Vaugn's and fixed up some shelves, and returned to Bro. William Winn's. After dinner I commenced to work for Bro. Winn. I drove home a cow. At night about 12 o'clock my wife Mary was confined and brought forth a fine daughter. She had a hard time, but she got through all right. I was up most of the night. We had her Mother Russon there, besides Sister Simmons the nurse.
