Bio

Benjamin K Eshleman married Amanda Ellen (Unknown) and they had five children: Anna Frances; William H; Walter; John; and Elizabeth Eshleman. The obit was located in "The North Platte (Neb) Daily Bulletin" Friday, Sept. 25, 1942 on page #3 and reads as follows: "Benjamin Eshleman Dies at Home After Long Illness -- Benjamin Eshleman, 85, died at 4:30 yesterday afternoon at his home, 221 West Eleventh, following a lingering illness. Mr. Eshleman had been a resident of this community for 58 years. He was born Sept. 22, 1857 at Lanchester county, Penn., and moved west with his family in 1883. Since that period he had lived in and around North Platte. Surviving are his wife Amanda; three sons, Walter and William of North Platte and John of Cheyenne and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Long and Mrs. Elizabeth Kenworthy, both of North Platte; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Adams Funeral home. Rev. H.A. Bourne, pastor of the First Christian church will officiate and burial will be in the North Platte cemetery.
