Buford Snipes October 29, 1944 - July 15, 2018 Buford L. Snipes, age 73, died July 15, 2018 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Missouri. Born October 29, 1944 in Holcomb, Missouri to the late J.A. and Frieda (Cook) Snipes. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Korean, attended Tanner Street Church of God and had been a cost accountant for various nursing home corporations before retiring. On June 15, 1974 at the Maple Grove General Baptist Church he married Velta (Kincade) Snipes, she survives of Sikeston. Other survivors include two sons, Kyndl Snipes of Blue Springs, Missouri and Kyle Snipes of Matthews, Missouri; two brothers, Hubert Snipes and Harold Snipes both of Kennett, Missouri; two sisters, Louise Snipes and Betty Rose Tharpe both of Clarksville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Jamie Snipes and Rylee Snipes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Snipes and Joe Snipes; and one sister, Goldie Mary Howard. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Pastor Eric Snipes will officiate.
