Source: Daily Ardmoreite MARIETTA -- Graveside rites for Rosie Myrene Wright Gwin Lemons, 80, will be 2 pm. Monday at Newport Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Lovelace officiating. Born March 15, 1917, at Paris, Texas, to W.A. and Leta Powell Henderson, she died March 5, 1998, at an Ardmore health care facility. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Wright and Elza Gwin. She was also preceded by two brothers, Fritz and Ivan Henderson; and one sister, Ida Mayes. Mrs. Lemons had lived in Love and Carter counties all of her life. She retired from Jo Kay Leather Company after 22 years and later worked as a cook with the Senior Citizen Nutrition Program. She was a member of the Shady Dale Baptist Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Nancy Wright, Ardmore; one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Gene Walker, El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Louis Henderson, Burneyville, and Roy D. Henderson, Marietta; three sisters, Montie King, Ardmore, Exie Davis, Marietta, and Louella Vandeventer, Cheek; four grandchildren, Stella Walker, Jeanie Walker, Kimberly Ballard, Kristopher Wright; and one great-grandchild. Services are under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
