(Published in Amarillo Globe News, September 16, 1997) Earl Wade Bybee, 56, of 2207 E. 23rd Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fellowship Assembly with MaxBeggs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Bybee was born in Childress. He moved to Amarillo 45 years ago from Pampa. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring in June after 35 years. Mr. Bybee married Judy K. Rippetoe in 1971 at Howardwick. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pamela Bybee of Amarillo; twosons, Terry Bybee of Quitman and David Wade Bybee of Amarillo; two sisters, Mildred Jackson of Childress and Betty Foster of Amarillo;four brothers, J.D. Bybee, Elton Bybee, Sam Bybee and Billy Bybee, all of Amarillo; and a grandson. The family will be at 2207 E. 23rd Ave. They request memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
