Bio
Violet Grace Johle Knox, 81, of Taylor passed away, Monday, August 19, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 12, 1931, in Taylor, to Lydia and James William Johle and grew up on the family farm in Beyersville. Violet was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to many family members and close friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan; her parents; and one brother, Melvin. Survivors include children, Brenda Echols and her husband, Thomas, Sr., Patrick Knox and his wife, Regina, and Durand Paul Knox and his wife, Tessa; grandchildren, Thomas, Jr., James, Robert, Paula, Tucker, Taylar, Hunter, and Haley; her brother, Calvin Johle; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Violet's name to Trinity Lutheran Church or Girling Hospice Georgetown, Texas.
