Bio
When Elijah Edward Ard was born on March 7, 1866, in Jay, Florida, his father, John, was 20 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 15. He married Martha E Dawson and they had eight children together. He then married Susan Rebecca "Suzie" Wilson and they had nine children together. He died on September 28, 1931, in Robertsdale, Alabama, at the age of 65. I am ancestral downline to his first wife Martha Dawson , I don't know the circumstances but the children of his first wife were orphaned to Louisiana where family members took them back and split them up between themselves to be raised.. Eugene Ard was one of those children and i am proud grandson to him.
