In Memoriam JIMMY LEON WILLIAMS September 12, 1955 ~ November 4, 1974 GUNSHOT IS FATAL A 20-year-old Idabel man was pronounced dead on arrival at McCurtain Memorial hospital early this morning from a gunshot wound in his head. He was identified as Jimmy Williams, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas F. Williams of Idabel. The Idabel Police Department was called to the Williams home at 1:10 a.m. this morning, with Assistant Chief Charles Ward and Patrolman Kenny McKee answering the call. District Attorney Gary Brock joined the investigation a few moments later. Williams had been shot in the head with a high-powered rifle. DA Brock indicated that, while the wounds were apparently self inflicted, he would order an autopsy later this morning. The body was taken to McCurtain Memorial hospital and on to Texarkana for the autopsy by Service Ambulance.
