October 14, 1927 – April 9, 2018 Lloyd Lehecka of Lincoln, NE died peacefully in David City, NE on Mon., April 9, 2018. Services were held on Sat., April 14 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Lloyd was born Oct. 14, 1927 in Comstock, NE to Vaclav and Barbara (Cadek) Lehecka. Lloyd grew up in Valley County, NE, attending rural schools and graduating from Ord High School in 1946. He served two years in the Navy and attended the University of Nebraska. Lloyd was united in marriage to Patricia Myers in Lincoln on June 15, 1952 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he was a member for many years. Together they had two children: a son Chris, and a daughter Gina. Lloyd worked for 35 years at Lincoln Electric System, retiring in 1991. Over his life Lloyd enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved to spend time woodworking, golfing, gardening, watching UNL football and playing with his grandchildren. Lloyd is survived by his children, Chris (Linda) Lehecka of Austin, TX, and Gina (Kent) Clymer of David City, NE; sister, Lydia Bruha of Arcadia, NE; sister-in-law, JoAnn Gloor of Lee's Summit, MO; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt) Sawyer, Jason (Emily) Lehecka, Kyle (Meredith) Clymer, Amanda Clymer; and one great grandchild, Bennett Lehecka. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; his parents Vaclav and Barbara Lehecka; brothers George and Robert; sisters Emily Zabloudil, Elizabeth Wilson, Agnes Foth, and Mildred Lehecka; six brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and his parents-in-law Merle and Elsie Myers.
