Coon Rapids Enterprise May 12, 1950 Thomas L. Lambert of Boise, Idaho formerly of Coon Rapids, passed away May 6, 1950, following an illness of one day due to an acute heart attack. Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon, May 10, at 2:00 o'clock at the Coder Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Alexander, pastor of the First Methodist church, in charge. A quartet, Wayne Textor, Jack Rogers, John J. Schumacher and Wesley Thomas, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "No Night There" Mrs. Russell Newcomm played the piano accompaniment Casketbearers were Bernice McLaughlin, Wesley Davis, Conrad Lawrence, Walter Schumacher, Howard Shawd and Otis Teter. Interment was in the family lot in the Coon Rapids cemetery Thomas Lewis Lambert was born June 7, 1903, in Coon Rapids. He graduated from the Coon Rapids high school with the class of 1923. Tom was general manager of an oil business at Columbus, Nebraska and also represented the 26th District at the 1939 and 1941 sessions of the Nebraska legislature In 1941 he was named acting area representative for the Surplus Marketing Administration with headquarters, in Lincoln From 1942 through '45 he served with the War Production Board in Minneapolis, Minnesota. More recently he owned and operated a variety store in Boise, Idaho He was a member of the Congregational church at Columbus, Nebraska He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Bernice Brydahl Lambert, his three sons. Thomas Lewis jr. Ronald Thomas, and Carroll Ronald his father, Calvin T. Lambert of Lincoln, Nebraska, his mother, Mrs. Eugene Williams of Coon Rapids, his brother. Theodore C. Lambert of Omaha, two sisters, Mrs Rolland Harr and Mrs Dale Omstead, both of Lincoln, Nebraska, other relatives and friends.
