Wilhelmina “Minnie” Vopat, 94, of Kearney, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, April 9, 2018 at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Kearney Cemetery. Wilhelmina Ann Bruha was born on April 15, 1923 in Ord, Nebraska to Frank and Emma (Maresh) Bruha. Minnie was united in marriage to Van Vopat on November 10, 1942 in Ord. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy of Kearney; two sons, Frank of California and Gary of Texas; 17 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Meuret of Grand Island. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Van Vopat; and a daughter, Shirley.
