Bio

Mary Lynette Belcher, 53, of Quanah, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, in Quanah. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Quanah First Christian Church with the Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Interment followed in Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Quanah. She was born Feb. 27, 1962, in Quanah, a daughter of Floyd Wayne Belcher and the late Patricia Podrovitz Belcher. A graduate of the Vernon nursing program, Belcher worked as an LVN in hospitals in Chillicothe, Quanah, and Amarillo. A lifelong resident of Quanah, she was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2009 and by a brother, Floyd Wayne Belcher Jr., in 2011. Survivors include her father, of Quanah; a brother, James Belcher of Quanah; three sisters, Gina Denham and Belinda Belcher, both of Quanah, and Jan Guzman of Texarkana, Ark.; three nieces; three nephews, and grand-nieces and –nephews.
