Gerald Douglas Philpot Wood, 29, died Wednesday in a Wichita Falls hospital. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lucy Park with Margaret Walker and H.O. Ballard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Mr. Wood y was born April 27, 1964, in Comanche, Okla. He had lived in WOOD Wichita Falls since 1986, moving from San Diego, Calif. He was a 1982 graduate of Marlow, Okla., High School. He was a Baptist and a member of the Wichita Falls Metropolitan Community Church. He worked in hospital administration at Wichita General Hospital for seven years. He was a member of the AIDS Support Group and was involved with the Children's Miracle Network, Hotter'N Hell and the Walk For Life. Survivors include his parents, Martha and Russell Philpot of Wichita Falls; four brothers, Chris Beck of Henrietta, Texas, Russell Philpot Jr. and 1 Kenny D. Philpot, both of Ardmore, Okla., and Ron "Craig" Cox of Wichita Falls; and his grandmother, Lola M. Cook of Comanche. Memorials may be made to Sue Hempfling, 1909 Speedway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301
