The Oklahoman, Dec 14, 1979: J. T. Thomas, 66, 608 SW 40, passed away Thursday at his home. Services 10 am Saturday in Chapel of the Chimes, Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens. Born in Pottowatomie County, OK. Came to Oklahoma City in 1924 from Newcastle. Graduate of Capitol Hill High School, University of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma City University Law School. He was a CPA and founder of Thomas & Company Accounting Firm. Member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, Oklahoma City Gun Club, Oklahoma Wildlife Association, former member of Capitol Hill Kiwanis Club, and on the Board of Directors of American Institute of Discussion. Survivors, wife, Dorothy; two sons, Mark Thomas, of Harrah; and Dean Williams, of OKC; two daughters, Nerena Parnell, of Fort Collins, CO; and Sue Murray, OKC; brother, Neal; three sisters, Bonnie Norton of Arizona, Marie Quick of Arkansas City, KS, and Dorotha Lee Lathram of Dallas, TX, and 8 grandchildren.
