Bio

Lillie Joyce Shelley, 91, of Victoria, passed away January 31, 2018. She was born June 21, 1926 in Jones County, Texas to the late Elias Frank and Lottie Pearl Hargrove Moore. Joyce loved to tell the family about her job at the Dr. Pepper Plant where she worked during the war. She also worked for more than 20 years at the Senior Citizen's Center as an aide. But Joyce's ultimate job which she loved was serving faithfully as a pastor's wife for over 40 years. She also was a member of First Baptist Church Victoria. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Douglas O. Shelley; daughter, Elaine Reagan; and brothers, Arthur and William Moore. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1-2 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 PM at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joyce's grandchildren. Published by the Victoria Advocate, February 2, 2018
