Janie F. Jakubik, 80, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Janie was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Joseph and Frances Cecelia Belha. She was raised in Ennis and attended St John's School. She married Raymond George Jakubik on June 25, 1955, and they made their home in Ennis. Active in her children’s activities, Janie was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader. She was a member of Ennis Band Boosters and Ennis Lionbackers, receiving the Lionbacker of the Year Award in1978. She worked for Gibsons, for Peanuts, retiring from Irwin Distribution Center in 2004. She loved her granddaughters, sewing, gardening, Czech music, and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jakubik; a son, Rodney Dana Jakubik; brothers, Joseph Belha Jr. and Wesley Belha; and sisters, Geraldine Horak and Mary Lou Novy. Survivors include her son, Dwain Jakubik and his wife, Monica; daughter, Monica Pechal; granddaughters: Whitney, Kristina, and Kasey Pechal; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Belha; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
