Bio
Rose Marie Novy, 89, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis. Rose Marie was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Julius Bernard and Adelle Marie (Mazoch) Kulhanek. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1945. On September 14, 1948, she married Ernest J. Novy and they made their home in Ennis. She and Ernest were the owner-operators of H & H Hardware for ten years, of Novy Exxon for seventeen years and owner-operators of Novy’s Golfland. She was a member of St John Nepomucene Catholic Church, SPJST, Golden Crusaders, KJZT, Red Hat Society and the Ennis Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, on September 30, 2007. Survivors include her daughters, Debbie McQuary and husband, Danny, and Clarissa Lewis and husband, Dennis; grandchildren: Dustin McQuary and wife, Gigi, Tiffany Lewis Amerson and husband, Ryan, Brett Lewis and wife, Paula, and Elise Lewis; great-grandchildren: Dylan Amerson, Taryn Amerson, Lauryn Amerson, and Landry Lewis. sister, Betty Schneider and husband, Helmuth; other relatives and many friends.
