Van Alstyne- Graveside funeral services for Patricia Ann Pryor will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 1 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Rev. Jerryd Wallace will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are John Wolfe, Kent Rowland, Ed Rebentisch, Brett Newton, Brian Wallace, and Triston Pryor. Mrs. Pryor, 79, passed away Saturday, October 28 at the Woodlands Place in Denison. Pat was born May 5, 1939 in Westminster, Texas to the late Grover and Clara (Griffin) Sterling. On June 15, 1956 she married Harold Pryor in Blue Ridge and they were married until his death in February 2002. Mrs. Pryor was a lifelong Methodist, a devoted homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for her many animals. Patricia is survived by two sons, David Pryor and wife Valerie of Denison and Marcus Pryor and wife Misty of Anna; daughter-in-law, Amy Pryor of Wolfe City; six grandchildren, Emilee Petree and husband Brian of Shreveport, Jackie Pryor of Denton, Triston Pryor of Sherman, Lindsee Pryor of Denison, Miranda Pryor of Monroe, LA, and Chloe Pryor of Anna; four nephews, Denny Brown of McKinney, Larry Brown of Van Alstyne, Bobby Durham of Whitewright, and Jimmy Johnson of Savoy; and several other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Phillip Pryor, three sisters, and one brother. Obituary published online 30 October 2017 by Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas.
