Kay M. Hamilton, 56, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at her home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Kay was born August 10, 1957 in Ord, Nebraska, the daughter of Kerry and Rosalie (Blaha) Leggett. She graduated from Ord High School with the class of 1975, following High School she moved to Lincoln. Kay graduated from Welbes College of Massage Therapy in Omaha, Nebraska in 1994. She was a Licensed Massage Therapist and owned Soothing Senses Massage. She volunteered at many organizations including Meals on Wheels and Open Harvest. Kay cherished spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, practicing healing energy work, and enjoyed Nia. Kay is survived by her daughter, Sarah Hamilton and her fiancé Bill White of Palmyra, NE; grandchildren, Kane, Taryn, and Raven; mother, Rosalie Leggett of Ord, NE; brother, Kip Leggett and his wife Hisako of Chula Vista, CA; sister, Julie Wilson and her husband Randy of Ord, NE. She was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Ann Leggett. Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Unitarian Church, 1333 N 33rd St., with reception immediately following. Lincoln Family Funeral Care is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, NY 10122.
