Rickert, 44, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Grand Island, died Thursday, Aug. 28, in Anchorage. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Val Sauer will officiate. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be ...in Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel... Mrs. Rickert was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Grand Island to Neil and Donna Hatfield Pinkston. She grew up and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1962. She married Danny Rickert, April 2, 1962, in Grand Island. She was employed by Nash-Finch Company and the Grand Island Daily Independent. Mr. Rickert was a member of the armed forces and they lived in several locations before moving to Anchorage in November of 1981 where she was employed by a law firm. She had been in failing health for the past six months. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Danny; two sons, Jeff and Marty, both of Anchorage; her mother, Mrs. Donna Pinkston of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Ron (Jan) Metcalf of Grand Island and Marilyn Moeller of Chadron. She was preceded in death by her father.
