Edmund Graczyk, 90 of Sumner died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elm Creek. Interment will follow the luncheon at the Oconto Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home. Edmund C. Graczyk was born February 11, 1927 in Grand Island to Walter and Sally (Kosmicki) Graczyk. He was raised in the Oconto and Callaway area and attend school in Callaway. He moved to Sumner in 1945. Edmund was united in marriage to Anna Ropers on June 4, 1951 in Eddyville, NE. He served three years in the Nebraska Army National Guard. The couple made their home Northeast of Sumner where they farmed. Edmund enjoyed watching westerns, collecting tractors and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Anna Graczyk of Sumner; children Mary (Bill) Dawes of Inman, KS, John (Kris) Graczyk of Ravenna, James Graczyk of Sumner, Jaime Graczyk of Elm Creek, Marilyn (Ray) White of McCool Junction; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as, many nieces and nephews. Edmund was preceded in death by his parents; daughters-in-law Sherry Graczyk and Cindy Graczyk; grandson Ben White and 3 sisters; great grandson, Will Ciemnoczolowski
