Eddie Zielonka (Advocate News Service) YORKTOWN -- Eddie Zielonka, 49, of Yorktown, a DeWitt County constable, died in a Houston hospital Monday night. Rosary will be recited at Lamprecht Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Requiem mass will be said at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. B. C. Kaminski. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Cuero. Mr. Zielonka was born in Cuero, February 6, 1918, son of Steve and Sophia Hahn Zielonka. He was married to Hadde Rutkoski in Cuero in 1939. Mr. Zielonka was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are the wife; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Zielonka of Cuero; four brothers, Alvin of Cuero, Joe of Bay City, Emil of Yorktown, and Herbert of Norfolk, Virginia; and six sisters, Mrs. Carl Smith Jr. of Goliad, Mrs. Joe Orsak and Mrs. Raymond Granz of Yoakum, Mrs. B. A. Zengerle of Freeport, and Mrs. Ben Parma Sr. and Mrs. Herbert Barber of Cuero.
