Eleanor Elizabeth "Elaine" Gallagher, 87, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Elaine was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Adolph R. and Sophie (Pavlicek) Miller. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School. She went on to attend Elliott’s Business College. On June 22, 1952, Elaine married Milton C. Gallagher and after his retirement from the military, they moved back to Ennis. She worked for 26 years in the banking field with Ennis State Bank, Citizens National Bank, Republic Bank, North Carolina National Bank ending as Executive Secretary for Mr. Joe Musolina, President of Bank of America, Dallas, Texas. Elaine loved playing her accordion, traveling, gardening and spending time with family. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJZT, SPJST, Auxiliary member of Knights of Columbus and Czech Heritage Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton C. Gallagher; sons, John M. Gallagher and Kevin R. Gallagher; and brother, Bernard Miller. Survivors include her sons, Michael Gallagher and wife, Susanne, and Robert Gallagher and wife, Jane; daughter, Kathleen Prachyl; daughter-in-law, Debbie Gallagher; grandchildren: Crystal Edgel, John Gallagher, Jr., Jennifer Martin, Robert Gallagher, Jr., Stephanie Manion, Jessica Marshall, Andrew Prachyl, Daniel Prachyl, Andrew Novak, Sharon Bense, and Suzanne White; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Joseph, Avary, Zachary, Nicholas, Benjamin, Ava, Lilly, Ella, Eleanor, Rylie, Kylee, Mykala, Jonathan, and Austin; great-great-grandson, Armani; brother, Adolph Miller, Jr.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
