Mrs. Willie Bertha Seymour, 68, died Thursday morning at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. A resident of 635 Tennessee St., Gulfport, she was born Aug. 29, 1894, in Hattiesburg and had lived in Gulfport for 12 years. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Seymour, Gulfport; five sons, H. J. Loftin and Sidney B. Loftin, both of Mobile, Ala., and James W. Loftin Sr., Walter W. Loftin and David D. Loftin, all of Gulfport; three daughters, Mrs. E. L. Worthy, Natchez, Mrs. Thomas J. Smith, Perkinston, and Mrs. A. L. Holmes, Gulfport; one brother, Finnes Cumberland of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lynn Copeland, Compton, Calif., and Mrs. Beatrice Sumrall, Columbia, Miss.; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Seymour was a member of Pilgrimage Baptist Church on Tennessee street. The body will be at Riemann’s chapel in Gulfport at 10 a.m. Friday. Services are tentatively planned to be held Saturday from the chapel and from Pilgrimage Baptist Church with the Rev. Davil B. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
