Bio

Alice Holy Toupal Burleson, 89, passed away in Carrollton, Texas on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery Alice was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Frank Louis and Philomena (Svehlak) Holy. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1946. She was married to Frank Toupal in 1949 and they lived in Dallas. Following Frank’s death in 1958 she moved to Ennis. She married Jimmy Burleson in 1970 and they lived in Dallas and Carrollton. She worked for 33 years as an Insurance Account Executive for Murray Insurance. She was a member of St. Catherine of Scion Catholic Church and KJZT. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was preceded in death by both husbands; and two brothers. Survivors include her sons, Frank Toupal, and Terry Toupal and wife, Karen; daughter, Donna Thompson and husband, Ray; grandson, Craig Warren; great-grandchild, Peyton Warren; brothers, Dennis Holy and Sylvester Holy; sisters, Mildred Dlabaj and Evelyn Prachyl; other relatives and many friends.
